2024.10.30

The "FIX 2024 Global Media Pick Awards," a prestigious event organized by leading global media outlets specializing in mobility, ICT, and robotics, concluded successfully. From a pool of 436 domestic and international companies participating in the 2024 Future Innovation tech eXpo (FIX 2024), a panel of 11 journalists from 9 countries selected 33 companies as the "BEST OF FIX 2024 TOP3."

On October 23rd, at the dedicated Global Media Zone in EXCO West, the journalists meticulously evaluated the innovative technologies and products showcased by each company. The selection was based on four key criteria: global market potential, market competitiveness, investment value, and technological advancement.

This event was designed to identify innovative companies both domestically and internationally, and to facilitate their global expansion by leveraging global media exposure.

The 33 companies selected as "BEST OF FIX 2024 TOP3" will receive awards and enjoy media coverage from various countries, providing significant support for their global expansion efforts.

Deepanshu Taumar, Editor-in-Chief of ET AUTO (India), selected K&P, AutoL, and HIOKI KOREA. He commented, "K&P shows high potential in all areas. By manufacturing circuit boards exclusively for Apple cameras and circuit boards for Samsung semiconductors, they are consistently growing. Their ongoing collaborations with LG and automotive parts manufacturers are also highly commendable." He also praised AutoL, saying, "They have secured over $10 million in investment for their autonomous driving technology. While their focus on passenger cars is currently limited, their active collaborations with commercial vehicle manufacturers like Paccar, Caterpillar, and Gateik mitigate this concern." Regarding HIOKI KOREA, he stated, "They are excelling in the measurement and instrumentation field. They supply Samsung and LG battery manufacturers, and with the increasing demand for electric vehicle batteries, their future looks promising."

Kyusik Kim, Head of EXCO, explained the background of the event, saying, "FIX is the first exhibition aimed at creating a Korean version of CES. As Hyundai Motor Company's Executive Vice President, Lee Sang-hyup, mentioned in his keynote speech, 'The future of the automotive industry is the robot industry,' the mobility sector is also becoming autonomous, robotic, and sometimes AI-driven. FIX is the integration of these three exhibitions."

He continued, "FIX is an exhibition that combines mobility, robotics, AI, and big data, and we believe it is a Korean version of CES that is different from the US CES. Although it is just the beginning, we plan to develop it into an even larger exhibition."

Regarding the invitation of 11 global media representatives from 9 countries, Kim said, "No matter what event you hold, it won't spread beyond the country if you only promote it internally. That's why we invited influential global media from various fields to provide an opportunity for them to see for themselves, as the saying goes, 'Seeing is believing.' I think they played a significant role in the exhibition and provided great help to domestic companies."

FIX 2024 consisted of specialized exhibitions for mobility, robotics, AI, and startups, as well as innovation technology conferences, business matching programs, and a mobility test-drive zone for the public. The 2024 Korea Future Mobility Expo, held at EXCO East, showcased the latest trends in technology innovation, including UAM, autonomous driving, secondary batteries, components, and services.

The 2024 Korea ICT Convergence Expo featured AI, big data, blockchain, ICT, and metaverse technologies. Additionally, the 13th Daegu International Robot Industry Exhibition showcased industrial robots, humanoid robots, service robots, and advanced robot solutions for digital transformation and upgrading in the parts and services industry. A new "Startup Arena" was also launched, connecting startups with experts from Samsung C-Lab, Plug and Play, and other startup incubators
