[News]K&E Safety Design: Art in the Name of Safety
2025.07.29
K&E safety design case will be exhibited at the 2025 Gwangju Design Biennale, which opens on August 30.
Under the title “Industrial Safety Design: A Right for All,” K&E will participate in the “Inclusive ZONE for Me” section of the exhibition.
The display will feature a visualized safety response zone, including a fire extinguisher and a first-aid kit station.
This design was developed to ensure that safety information in the workplace can be easily recognized and acted upon by everyone.
It aims to create a tangible and practical safety environment—not just for show—highlighting that safety is a fundamental right that should be inclusive of all.
This project serves as a design-based representation of that right.

"Embracing Humanity through Inclusion"
Recognized as one of the world’s top five design biennales, the Gwangju Design Biennale is an international exhibition that has long addressed societal and human issues through design.
This year, the Biennale takes place under the theme: “You, the World: How Design Embraces Humanity,”
presenting the values and potential of Inclusive Design to a global audience.
The exhibition explores how design can embrace and connect human differences through four lenses: World, Life, Mobility, and Future.
Projects from globally renowned institutions such as the Royal College of Art (UK), SCAD (USA), and KAIST (Korea) will be showcased.
Notable highlights include an inclusive design project centered around Gwangju Songjeong Station, the global 72-hour Inclusive Design Challenge for students,
and the Inclusive Design Declaration from international design leaders.
The Biennale offers more than just exhibitions—it serves as a platform to directly experience the evolving role and future of design.
K&E participation in this global event is especially meaningful, as it presents a people-centered design philosophy applied to the essential and everyday realm of industrial safety.
We will continue striving to build a safer industrial environment through inclusive
design that protects all workers.
